My apologies, my uncle is in critical condition, and I will need to be around to help out. So will have to pull out too.

Have a great time!

Due to my last minute attempt to get on the bandwagon, I had transport problem and could not join the outing, though I wanted to after some encouragement to join in. I hope someone can org a private outing so I have the chance to go.
Have a good time everyone....better luck next year hopefully. :huh what:

SC,

Thank you for a most enjoyable day at Fanti Forest - my first visit there, it was a great bonus that I also got a good number of great photos as well.

Thanks a lot.

Thanks all for coming to the outing. It turn out to be a pretty good outing for both bird and macro group. Although many of the good birds were high up in the canopy and/or calling deep in the forest, but the flowering trees and flowerpeckers really make our day. Some nice birds seen and/or photographed are Red-naped Trogon, Banded Broadbill, dusky Broadbill, Rufous-backed kingfisher, Buff-necked Woodpecker, Pale-blue Flycatcher, Purple-naped Sunbird, etc, etc. There are even photo evidence of bird-eating spider :o :o Waiting for the photos of Yan Leong and Stephen.

Macro group also had a great time shooting dragonflies and damselflies. Our Damselflies expert- Anthony had a number of rare species and I am eagerly waiting for his photos.

All in all a nice combined outing, thanks to all who made it a fun outing. I am looking forward to the next outing. Here are a number of photos to share and I think Pegi has a couple to show who was the most dedicated photographer yesterday!

Cheers,
SC

Thanks SC for organising and leading the combined outing to Panti Forest. Thanks Hwee Boon for the ride to Panti Forest. Thanks Yixiong for the breakfast coffee. Thanks Tony for the ride and sending me home although he was already very tired, and the rest for the great company. It is nice to meet Bjorn & John Wong too.

This was my first “overseas” outing with NPSS and it was certainly a fruitful one for me. Who say Panti Forest is only for birding? There are plenty of marco subjects, but with only less than 5 short hours of shooting, I could only concentrate on the damsels. There were so many of them, some of which are classified as rare or extinct, while other species cannot be found in Singapore. I shall post them shortly. I am looking forward for more overseas outing with NPSS

same here. Thought ankletoeknee is not going. Think some members are missing from the events images.
