I am organising an 8 day Landscape Photography trip for members to
Yuan Yang Rice Terraces and Red Land.
(there will be other interesting subjects along the way).
The trip will be led by Zhang Yu of Yunnan Plateau International Photographic Art Centre.
He has produced a very informative "Yunnan Photography Guide Book" together with his father.
His father is a prominent figure in the Yunnan photographic community.
I have been on two previous trips led by Zhang Yu - he is very experienced.
Red Land is a remote area in south west Yunnan. Because of its lack of facilities only few travel agencies organise trips there.
Many are not aware of this land of beautiful landscape, even the locals.
Yuan Yang Rice Terraces is a UNESCO world heritage site. We were awed by Tan Boen Hian's spectacular images during our March AGM.
and his forum posts; check this:

Here's an opportunity to produce your own images by joining the trip.
And Boen Hian will show us his techniques for shooting sunrise and water reflections in a coming "NPSS sharing session" (if he's available and time permits).
Ticketing agent has proposed 12 to 19 December (I'll have to have the guides consensus on this).
Expect to pay airfare at $490 + tax $272. December is high season, lower fare seats all not available, fare is subject to changes.
plus Yunnan charges of about ($680 estimated) (3300 RMB) minimum 12 participants.
The total sum is quite a bargain compared to other overseas trips!
We are limiting the total participants to 12 members only.
Sign up soon.
Please post your queries here too.
Please note I'll be away from 24 July to 2 August. I'll finalise more details when I return.
Cheers,
Tony
This post was slightly amended (air fare) on 24 July at 12.30 am.
