Participants please note that this is NOT a sight-seeing trip with good accommodation and good food.

This is a photography trip. As such, some accommodation can be basic, traveling can be rough, tough and cold.
Food is simple but good and fresh.
Some days we leave hotels very early, some days we arrive in hotels late; all for the sake of photography.
Starting from Kunming; our journey will take the form of a loop around the country before ending in Kunming again.

I told the guide that the participants will each be armed with a DSLR and a tripod.
For landscape photography, wide angle lenses are a must.
Your wide angle zoom should be at least 28mm at the wide end. 24mm and wider will be a bonus.
A medium tele zoom will be useful to capture a distant scene and for street photography in the villages.
Remember there will be ethnic people to shoot as well.
Bring enough batteries as the cold can drastically reduce the shots per charge.

Cheers

Tony
