    Hi Darren,

Seen by neat eye, not so brown. It’s a result of 20 second exposure for reflection from the bright building light.
    Thank for viewing!

    Cheers!

    YX,
The night scene with all the colourful lighting is beautiful. I went to Marina Barrage recently and I think it would be a perfect place to take fireworks too. Wishing a happy and fruitful 2009!

Thank for your encouraging words, Anthony.

Was going to shoot firework last night, but result turns out quite disappointed. View from the Marina Barrage, the position of firework started is not so idea as expected, and the strong foreground light from the construction site add difficulty to a proper exposure. And the firework last night was really smoky…

Attached one just for your information to see the effect. I will not go Marina Barrage for firework again unless the firework change its firing location…

Happy New Year to you and your family!!

    Cheers!

    hi YX,

not bad lah the firework tho yes there’s lot of smoke….

the person standing at the right looks like the old WL. ;)

Thomas shared a tip recently with me to use Tungsten WB for nite shots of city and river.

    Yixiong,

#1 is pretty good but the construction foreground spoilt things. I was there in August for a shoot about the waters of SG (yeah, I was one of the first to use the uncompleted toilets!!! ) and found it not that ideal for city shots. The wind there can be strong and that may be an issue with long exposures.

Hope to see more fireworks from you on CNY!

    Cheers

    Hi Darren,

Thanks! I don’t know the person what stood there. BTW, who is WL? I went with Peter Low and you can’t see him from the frame.

Thank for the info of Tungsten WB for night shot. Appreciate it!

    Cheers!
