Went for a walk with my son at LP around 5pm.
At around 7pm, my son spotted a mousedeer and started firing away with my Canon 20D + 55-250mm.
I had a hard time as I was too close with my 400mm, couldn’t get the whole mousedeer into frame.
It was pretty dark and we have to fire full flash with manual setting.
First 2 images by my son and last one by me.
    Lesser mousedeer. Canon 20D 55-250mm at 109mm f5.6 1/60s. ISO800. Full Flash, handheld.

    Richard

Wow…now that is a great father-son activity! Both of you must be so excited after the shot! :D Surely it is only a small handful who had the privilege to sight a mousedeer in the wild in spore..
Very nice sharp images of the mousedeer from you and your son…

    D, PP,
Thanks. It was a fun father/son day. Especially when he spotted the elusive mousedeer.

    Richard,
Looks like you have another photographer in the family with you. What happens when your son wants to go birding with you and you only have one 400mm lens?? :? :? :?

    Richard,
Thanks for sharing the mouse deer. I have yet to take a decent photo of it. You need a 500/600…400 will be too short for you. :)

    SC, YX,
Thanks for your comments. My son is just learning to use the camera. Not sure if he wants
to do it for long term.
