Just share my record shoot on last Saturday at Lorong Halus.

    C&C are most welcome.

    Hi Pony,

#1 is a good shot, except for the white b/g. These waxbills fly around alot and they are not particularly shy. What I did the last time when I photographed this bird was to choose a position where I will get a clean & green b/g and wait for the bird to land & perch there. I had some decent shots from that outing.
#2 – the tint of red/magenta is too strong.
#3 – another potentially great shot. I would crop away the white spots at the top.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Hi, Peter

Thanks for your viewing, and valuable comments.
Will go there again, and try to get a good b/g to wait.

    Hi Mr. Ma,
Overall it is a good series of this pretty little bird.
IMHO, Image 1 is a good shot. But the white background may be reduced by cropping the picture tighter. As it is the right 1/3 of this picture is "blank space" if it is "landscape orientation". Also for Image 2 and 3, you may try cropping tighter to reduce the "cluttered background".
I also agree with Peter that the "red/magenta" is too strong.
