    Hi Pony,
It might be better to have a vertical crop for first one. Second one the shadow of the head is a spoiler. Third one you can dispose. If I am not wrong, it is a Female Brown-throated Sunbird.

    Hi, ST

Thanks for your comments and correction.
the big problem for me is the femal of sunbird, it looks all the same. :o

I keep the #2 just because it has a little eyes contact.

    Thanks again.

Olive-backed – Black eye, black beak, black legs and a rich yellow.

Crimson – Orange beak (sometimes blacker for a mature one i think) and orange legs.

Van Hasselt’s – dark greyish brown, black eye, black legs.

The give away for the brown-throated is the red pigmented eye. As seen in your photos and the ones below taken from Pulau Ubin and Phuket respectively.

    Dear kokhuitan

Yes, it is taken at Panti.

Thanks for correcting me, as I mentioned before, female sunbird all looks like the same to me when I check on my book :sadno: , I’ll be more careful with identifying them next time, haha. Thanks again
